Current caring ministries include helping with the Food Bank of Alaska and singing at Providence Extended Care Center on a monthly basis. Additional opportunities to care for others include helping with the Alaska Military Youth Academy as mentors or tutors. We also have requests to help with specific needs on a periodic basis, from cooking meals to helping clean yards. This month we are once again participating in the Thanksgiving Blessing, a faith based initiative supported my many different churches and groups in Anchorage. We have committed to collecting 700 cans of green beans for this project and to helping staff the distribution of these goods the Sunday and Monday before Thanksgiving.
